Derek de Laat President

Derek de Laat is the Founder and President of Everstone Analytics and FIN IP Group. He brings more than a decade of experience developing advanced financial models, valuation analyses, transaction frameworks, and decision-support tools for complex, high-stakes business decisions. His work has supported Fortune 500 companies, global investors, institutions, and professional advisors in turning complex financial questions into clear, actionable insights. Throughout his career, Mr. de Laat has supported engagements involving more than $2 billion in transaction value and has developed hundreds of sophisticated financial models across a range of industries. 

Mr. de Laat holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University and an MBA in Finance from the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), and Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

 
Julian Cupillari Senior Director

Julian Cupillari is a Senior Director at Everstone Analytics. He brings nearly a decade of experience developing advanced financial models, valuation analyses, and decision-support tools for complex business, investment, and strategic decisions. His work has supported international organizations across sectors including hospitality, education, technology, and healthcare. In 2016, he played a pivotal role in the US$3 billion acquisition of FRHI Hotels & Resorts by AccorHotels, supporting a major transaction involving one of the world’s leading hospitality groups.

Mr. Cupillari holds an Honours in Business Administration from Western University’s Richard Ivey School of Business and a Master’s in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Queen’s University’s Smith School of Business. He holds the Advanced Financial Modeler (AFM), and American Society of Appraiser’s Business Valuation (ASA-BV).

 
Allisha Lin Manager

Allisha Lin is a Manager at Everstone Analytics. She combines strong technical modeling skills with market research and analytical insight to help clients evaluate opportunities, assess performance, and make informed strategic and financial decisions through forecasting, business analysis, valuation, scenario modeling, and industry-specific research.

Prior to joining Everstone Analytics, Allisha worked as a Data Analyst at Employment and Social Development Canada, where she developed robust analytical models and strengthened her experience working with complex datasets, structured analysis, and evidence-based reporting.

Allisha holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance from Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business and the Advanced Financial Modeler (AFM) accreditation.

 
Laim Cabral Manager

Liam Cabral is a Manager at Everstone Analytics, specializing in market research, financial modeling, and data-driven financial analysis built to meet the challenging requirements of Fortune 500 companies.

Liam holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance and a Master of Finance (MFin) degree from Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business. He also holds the Advanced Financial Modeler (AFM) accreditation.

 
Deepro Sengupta Senior Financial Analyst

Deepro Sengupta is a Senior Financial Analyst and brings a strong background in economics, business analytics, financial modeling, and research to Everstone Analytics. His work supports complex financial and strategic engagements through structured analysis, market research, and data-driven insights.

Deepro holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Economics and a Master of Economics from Visva-Bharati University, as well as an MBA in Business Analytics from Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business. He also holds the Advanced Financial Modeler (AFM) accreditation.

 
Alexander Daicar Senior Financial Analyst

Alex Daicar is a Senior Financial Analyst at Everstone Analytics and has a strong foundation in accounting, audit, and financial analysis. His background with KPMG gives him experience working with complex financial information, structured review processes, and high standards of accuracy and accountability.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and an MBA from Queen’s University’s Smith School of Business. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).

 
Aaron Cheung Financial Analyst

Aaron Cheung is a Financial Analyst and supports Everstone Analytics through his experience in market research, equity research, and financial modeling. His work contributes to client engagements that require clear research, structured analysis, and practical financial insight.

With a background spanning finance and accounting, Aaron helps evaluate industry trends, business performance, and market opportunities. He supports the development of financial models, research summaries, and analytical work products that help clients better understand key drivers, risks, and strategic considerations.

Aaron is completing a Bachelor of Commerce with concentrations in Finance and Accounting at Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business.

Eric Tran Financial Analyst

Eric Tran is a Financial Analyst at Everstone Analytics. He brings experience in financial analysis and research, having previously worked at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute and the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat.

Eric holds a Bachelor of Medical Sciences from Western University and a Master of Management in Finance from McGill University.
